International recognition
Producing authentic, top-class wines – and in various regions of Italy – is a special challenge in its own right. For every wine-growing area has its own varieties, adapted to the terroir over the centuries, and its own history. The success of the team at Tomas & Giesen in bringing the unique features and the qualities of every individual region into the glass, and with controlled organic cultivation methods into the bargain, is demonstrated by the results that are regularly achieved by Tomas & Giesen crus in tastings at all levels. At all of these tastings, the wines from Tomas & Giesen were matched against vintages from other leading producers in the respective region. Here are a few examples:
- San Giuseppe 1997: gold medal, Weinprämierung Zürich
- San Giuseppe 1998: gold medal, Weinprämierung Zürich
